Bayé is a town in the Solenzo Department of Banwa Province in western Burkina Faso. As of 2005 it had a population of 5,478.

Bay (shelving)

A bay is a basic unit of library shelving. Bays are book cases about 3 feet (0.9 m) wide. Bays are stuck together in rows. Items are shelved from the top shelf to the bottom shelf in each bay.

Rows consist of a number of bays, either single-sided or double-sided, connected to each other. The standard length of a row is five to six bays, but it is not uncommon to find rows seven bays wide or even wider. In some countries a row is referred to as a 'stack' or a 'range'.

Bay (chancellor)

Bay, also called Ramesse Khamenteru, (died 1192 BC) was an important Asiatic official in ancient Egypt, who rose to prominence and high office under Seti II Userkheperure Setepenre and later became an influential powerbroker in the closing stages of the 19th Dynasty. He was generally identified with Irsu (alt. Arsu, Iarsu, Yarsu) mentioned in the Great Harris Papyrus, although no contemporary source connects Bay with Irsu.

Bay's importance is emphasized by the fact that he was given permission, possibly by Seti but more probably by Siptah, to construct his own tomb in Egypt's Valley of the Kings (KV13). His tomb was clearly constructed as part of a triad of tombs, including that of the Pharaoh Siptah and Queen Twosret. This was an unprecedented privilege, the likes of which were rarely accorded to a commoner, let alone a foreigner (though previous exceptions, such as that of Yuya, have occurred). It is possible that Bay was accorded this tomb because he was a relation of Siptah's mother, a Canaanite concubine of Seti II, or perhaps even of Amenmesse. His tomb was later usurped under the Twentieth Dynasty by prince Mentuherkhepshef, a son of Ramesses IX.

Sultan (2008 film)

Sultan is a 2008 Malayalam movie directed by Sreeprakash. Vinu Mohan and Varada plays the lead roles in this film.

Synopsis

Sivan (Vinu Mohan) is a medical college student better known in the campus as 'Sultan' as he was considered by all as the 'Sultan of Romance'. He and his four childhood close friends Naufal(Anoop Chandran),Sunny (Praveenkrishna),Vivek (Sreejithravi) forms a gang in the campus and they become quite popular among the students.

Sivan is in love with Nishitha (Varada), who is also a student in the same college. Their love has been accepted by their families and they have been engaged to marry after the completion of their studies. Things take a turn when Sivan's pet-name Sultan puts him in some totally unexpected situations.

Sultan (chimpanzee)

Sultan, one of the brightest of the early chimpanzees used for psychological research, was tested by Gestalt psychologist Wolfgang Köhler. Sultan is particularly recognized for his insight in solving numerous problems, including stacking or manipulating boxes to reach a reward and use of two sticks as a unit to rake food to a reachable distance.

While other Chimpanzees in Köhler's study were also quite adept at problemsolving—namely, obtaining an out-of-reach fruit suspended above a playground or perched just beyond arm's reach outside the bars of a cage—Sultan proved to be peculiarly advanced. He and his peers were also known to stack crates to reach the fruit, and even scramble up a hastily balanced stick to grab the banana before falling back down.

Chimpanzees helped Köhler to prove that animals are capable of learning beyond simple trial and error, and that, given the right conditions, many species—particularly the more "human" species of primates—will demonstrate a deeper understanding of the constituents of a problem. For example, several chimpanzees who had proven capable of reaching the banana via a stack of crates found that in a crateless room, a table or chair worked to meet the same end.

Soundarya R. Ashwin

Soundarya Rajinikanth Ashwin born 20 September 1984 as Shaku Bai Rao Gaikwad is an Indian graphic designer, producer and director who primarily works in the Tamil film industry. She is the founder and owner of Ocher Picture Productions. Soundarya began her career in films as a graphic designer. For those starring her father Rajinikanth, she designed the title sequences. She became a noted film producer through Goa (2010). She made her debut as a director in the film Kochadaiyaan.

Career

Soundarya did her childhood education in Sacred heart matriculation higher secondary school in church park,chennai. Soundarya is also the founder and chief executive of Ocher Picture Productions. In 2007, Ocher Studios signed an agreement with Warner Bros. Entertainment to partner up in producing and distributing Tamil films. Her directorial debut was supposed to be Sultan: The Warrior, a 3D animated film featuring her father Rajinikanth. Despite heavy pre-production promotion, including a teaser of the film and an interactive website, the film was dropped. She instead directed Kochadaiiyaan, India's first motion capture film, with Rajinikanth in the lead role. Through Kochadaiiyaan, Soundarya earned the distinction of becoming the first woman to direct her father in a feature film. At the NDTV Indian Of The Year awards 2014, she was honoured for "Technical Innovation In Film".
